The Beginning
Lore Behind the InsectaFae Tree
(Received at the cost of silence for a time from Xaos)

The lore of the InsectaFae is a harsh story, with each Tree having it own legend, or its own version of the legend. The story in the Realms goes that there was a Fae elf that fell in love with a human girl. This elf was very skilled in magick and was well-respected in the lands of Fae., but the girl’s family didn’t want her marrying such an alien. He did, however, win them over with gifts and monies. The girl was courted and much love was shared.
One night, he decided to ask her to marry him, to stay with him forever in the Realms of Fae. However, this was not to be…
He brought her to a Tree that was a “soft spot” for the crossing into Fae, and told her to wait while he got her his wedding gift. They were six seeds. When he returned, however, she had been slained. He could not bring his love back, and dropped the gifts upon her body, sobbing for his lost love. For six days and six nights, he kept trying to bring back his beloved, for surely, if Fae can be re-born into the circle, and she was almost there…
On the sunrise of the seventh day, six Fae being sprang forth from the woman. He named them and set his Children Immediately onto the task of helping him resurrect his love. But they were, after all, merely Children, and could not assist the Fae elf. For all his power, he could not bring back his love.
In sorrow, the elf aged, and left Fae to die in the Mortal Realms. The Children, however, were taught only one thing, to bring the lover back. Each of the six went about its own way, trying to do so. Each failed. Eventually, they came to realize that being sprung from a human body, but of Fae magicks, their lifespan was short, unlike their father’s. They did not wish to give up, however.
Each child, housing traits from the woman and the Fae elf, then name itself and planted within Fae a Seed, the hucks they had sprung from, and from there placed there places their magicks and spirits. The following four season, the tree grew, and from them more Children came.
Thus, the legend of how the InsectalFae came to be.

The Shadow

A creature that we know of only as the Shadow seeks to wipe the InsectaFae out by destroying their Trees and the spirits within. All signs thus far seem to indicate that he may be the corrupted or mad spirit of the Fae elf who lost his love, from which the seeds of the InsectiFae first came. Another possibility is that he is the being who killed the One when her lover was away. He definitely packs some high powered magick, according to Vawn. The things that a head-on fight would be a bad idea, and that he may be invulnerable to normal blades. Definitely a cruel trickster. I cast a Vision to see the true nature of the Shadow, and I saw that his purpose was to eradicate imperfect beings made from an imperfect being. There was talk of how we could obscure ourselves from him: a Fortune Tell brought the answer that “when one wants to hide, they simply disguise themselves.”

Vision: May 20th. 52,025 YD
“Show me the true nature of the Shadow.”
A voice came to me, saying that it was to eradicate imperfect being made from an imperfect being. I then saw the shades of 6 trees. Somehow I knew who they were be looking at them, and then others appeared superimposed over or around them. There was one humanoid shadow in front of d’Amandes, then I saw Gryffin before that, running around frantically, looking for safety. The next was Baldaquin, another single shadow, and Josua sitting, staring at his helmet, holding it in his hands, contemplating his fate. I then saw Coupant, a single shadow, with Vawn before it, small, scared, and worried. Next was Fleuris, in front of which there were TWO shadows. Phoenix was before them, hugging herself and she seemed to rocking back and forth and crying. Next was Lumineaux, with a single shadow, but the only thing around that tree was the laugh of goblins and the feeling that it had disappeared. Lastly there was Miserable, a single shadow again, with the sound of wolves, sound of battle, sword and against shield and the like. This one did not have a Guardian.

Vision: May 30th. 52,025 YD
“I wish to see the origin of the Shadow.”
I felt I knew this story, to an extent, but I wanted to verify things… I saw a very sorrow sodden Elven male turning his back to some figure, all huddled together on the ground, weeping their own tears… I believe these were the Children, newly born of the Human woman.
The Elven male had long hair and some creases in his skin, and he walked the woods of Fae into Chimeron. He sat down at a tree stump and cried and cried until he could cry no more in that place. And when he finally got up, he looked older.
He then began to wander the young Realms before there was a Defined Chimeron, before there was a map denoting Borderlands, Folkstone, Blackavar, Glendale….back when the Southern Wastes was not. Perhaps further, perhaps not.
And everywhere he went, he cried.
Eventually, the old elf was living alone, crying his tears in the woods. And a stream of ants marched by. A butterfly floated over. A dragonfly zoomed past his ear. Two crickets chirped their love song nearby. Nightfell.
And the old man was seen no more, just the remains of clothing, worn down.
I saw a gentle blue light shine upon it, and lazily float about it. Was it a will-o-the-wisp? A baby fairy? A magic glowbug? I couldn’t tell as it flitted around, then headed off into the darkened wood.
There was a song on the air, but just as I started to make out the rune, my concentration was broken by the rumble of thunder. It was raining in Paradise tonight.

Shadow Goblins:
They seem to be mostly just Goblins work for the Shadow. There are apparently some spellcasters among their numbers that can summon forth the Shadow. They usually have rebards on that are black with half of a white face on them. They sometime work with human mercenaries.

Support and Offensive

InsectaFae are a race of creat from the Fae lands. Bouguet and Sarriette are both member of this race, as well as other we have now found. They live in families or clans or what not centered around their “mother” Tree, which is not only a physical home they live in but also contains the Spirit of that family. If the Tree is destroyed while the Spirit is inside of it, the bloodline will by and large wiped out. There may be some survivors but there would be no future Children. There are only six InsectaFae Trees. The InsectaFae themselves generally live to be about 125 years old. Most if not all are effectively vegans.

She/Her/The One

She is the “mother” of the Spirits that became the Trees. See the first section for their origin. It is believed that the quest that the Spirits and Children are on is the resurrect the lost love of the Fae elf. She was human originally. It seems as though she will be able to keep back the Shadow when she is brought back, either just by protecting all her children or bring the Shadow back to his senses. Phoenix had a Dream in May about a maiden sleeping, naked, covered with daisies. She believes this was the One.
“The Blessings of the Six are needed so that the One may re-appear.”-d’Amandes speaking through Aberes in Paradise in May.

“When the Shadow comes to claim us all.
Blades will rise, we will not fall.
Coupant anew, a seed begins.
Coupant will bring her back again.
The Six in One, the Spirits rise,
The Host live on, the faeries fly.
Six come forth, be Shadow’s bane
The One from the Six bring us together again.”

Children of the Trees

Only a few remain from d’Amander. A small group of Coupant’s Children remain. The Children of Baldaquin have all been set upon by a sleeping sickness, but although prone and helpless, they are protected from their enemies so long as the Tree spirit sleeps as well. None may tought them, save Baldaquin, itself. There is a pack of Children that protects Miserable with their lives, as do the animals surrounding it. Lumineux’s Children are always underfoot and rarely seens. Fleuris has many, many Children of different varieties.
The Seeds of Blessing are needed to create new Children. d”Amades said her children were beyond her sight. We were unsure what this meant. Were they in Bedlam? Another plane? Dead? I cast a Vision to “Show me where the children of d”amandes are that she can no longer feel.”
I saw a very young forest, the trees were only about as tall as I am. Goblins and trolls were dancing over the bones of many, many InsectaFae, who had all been ripped to shreds.

Rogue Children

InsectaFae are required to return to their Tree once a year (at the Summer Solstice) to maintain their connection to it. If they do not do so, they become “Rogue Children”. It is unknown at this time if they can simply choose to go Rogue, or if it's possible they could be separated from their Tree and unable to return. I am sure that they are not all malicious. One of the spirits that is trying to help us (in his own way) is a Rogue Child, as are the Ducheneux twins.

Guardians

The Guardians protect the Spirits of a given Tree. This Guardianship imbues them with certain abilities that vary from Tree to Tree. TI also enable the Spirits to move and hide where they could not while they were bound to land in the form of a great Tree. The secondary purpose of the Guardians, beyond protecting the spirits, it to teach them, nurture them, for that Spirits are really still children in many respects. Lastly, they are to (in theory) help the Spirits fulfill their goal of bring back the One, probably fending off an attack from the Shadow while they perform the ritual to bring Her back.
It is known that if the Spirit is hosted by a fighter, then the fighter would now count as a enchanted being. No Guardian can wield Wayland blades, and it would be very bad if they were hit with one (according to Phoenix.)

Effects of the Spirits on Their Guardians

This section is currently only from my own observation of late, as well as those of Kyomi.

Influence and Empower their Guardians
Empowering seems to very a little from Spirit to Spirit. One thing they can all do is feel the presence of their brother and sisters if they are relatively close (perhaps within a mile or two?) They also influence the emotions and actions of their host. In extreme cases the can fully take over their hosts. This points to classic cases of possession of mortals, but in this case it really does seems as though these things need to be done to help the Spirits to accomplish their tasks.

Negative effects:
Protect the Souls inhibit the spirits, and allows the hosts to act normally. Thought if this is done, it is know to anger the Spirits, and if it continues to be done, then it hurt the Spirit very much. Denying or suppressing the Spirits, whether thought Protect the Souls or simply ignoring them, can be fatal to the Spirit. It it goes to lng, the Spirit defends itself and hides itself as best it can, but plunging itself and its host into intangibility, although this make the host (and the Spirit) much more susceptible to the Fae “soft spots” than they otherwise would be. Also, what happens to the Spirit when the host dies? I am not certain, but this is what had happened before Gryf got d’Amandes stolen from him. While he was alive, he had the Spirit and when he was Raised from death, he no longer had the Spirit.

Specific Changes in Behavior noted thus far:
Coupant: Shorter temper, combative, less tendency to think through actions.
d’Amandes:At the start, there seemed to be a terrible amount of frustration. Has stated that this had faded away somewhat and was probably due to the spirit being with the previous Guardian for so long. Other effects unknown.
Baldaquin, Unknow at this time. Perhaps keeps even more to self than normally does?
Fleuris: Unknow at this time.
Lumineus: Unknow at this time
Miserable: Unknow at this time.

Allies/Enemies

Agent. The spirit of a Rogue Child. He is the service of Discordia of the Five Ladies. He can help with some information but is held by certain rules that he had not told us about as of yet. I know Vawn find his very annoying Kyomi allowed herself to be possessed by him for a short while last month. He masquerades as a “female” but is much more “male” than indicate that he’s a Rogue Child of d’Amandes.
Court. A great Coupant warrior. He’s one of Vawn’s bodyguard, and Vawn calls him an “international incident waiting to happen.” At times, Court has looked uncomfortable or perhaps guilty when we were talking of the origins of InsectaFae in this very booklet. Vawn even felt a “shrinking” while the tale was being related from Coupant himself, as though he did not want to hear what was being said (according to Vawn).
Alberte: a rescued Child of Coupant. A new/additional bodyguard for Vawn. also seem to like Sarriette a lot. Has healing magick.
Amato: a child of Fleuris, traveling with and aiding Phoenix. He is very pretty and somewhat flirtatious at least with the person he’s bodyguarding
Ducheneux the Red: a InsectalFae scribe. Rogue Child of Fleuris. Twin with the Blue. She seemed to not be helping us, or at least it was not observed, but I believe that the twins were helping both sides before the Red made a decision lately about which side she would help. So she is the one who will help us now if we can Raise her and get her up again. Usually has a red leather skullcap.n
Ducheneux the Blue: a fortuneteller, a Rogue child of Fleuris. Twins with the Red. The blue was helping us, at least occasionally, but is not completely serving the Shadow. She killed her sister when she made the decision about which side to help, us or the Shadow. Uses a walking staff.
Kyomi: May become a guardian/she has conversed with a being that we have come to realise was Ducheneux the blue (before she decided to help the Shadow sin the Red decided to help us) through poetry. Has extensive knowledge of the Trees.
Metron: Myself, Until recently the Shepard, a first-storm Skald, had taken my place. While masquerading as me, he worked overtime trying to gather as much information as she can about the Trees to help our side. Unknown if he was doing this simply to “fit the part” or was gathering information for the Erl King.
Sarriette: Bouquet’s sister, The last know d’Amandes Child.
Vawn the Younger: a piece of a “soft spot” given consciousness by the conflict Vawn recently had a Coupant. Still in Eagle’s Rook and learning to be a Squire.

Death and Scalping

We have recently seen what happens when a Guardian is scalped. The spirit that they were guarding, hosting, is unable to stay tethered to the host’s body. It would also be easier to “Steal” the Spirit away this way as well. There seems to be pain or more for the remaining Guardians when one is scalped as well.
Suffice to say that this would seem to indicate that dead i not that good for Spirits either. We know that d’Amandes was stolen from Gryffin while he was dead. What happens to the Guardian’s connection with the Spirit the more that they die? The only certainty at the moment is that it cannot be good.

InsectaFae Dream: March 21th 52,025 YD

I dreamt of a map, most probably of our Realms, but everything was shrouded over in mist. Two patches in the fog opened up. One was over an island out to sea that I couldn’t place during the dream, but later consultation of the Realms map found it to be Twilight Isle. The other opening was just south of Blackavar. The island seemed to pulse and give off a blue light, and the south-of-Blackavar point seemed to pulse with a sort of orange or golden light…
The perspective shifted and I saw a tall man in dark red and grey and short blonde woman walking in the woods. They seemed to be talking easily to each other, then kissed briefly goodbye and left each other’s company at a crossroads. The woman went south and the man north. There were creatures in the shadow there. I could make out wings and antennae, but couldn't make out faces or specific bodies. It was very hard to really focus on them as they all seemed to fall from the trees and followed the man in single-file.I’m fairly certain he didn’t know they were there… and then the Dream ended.

InsectaFae Dream: March 31th 52,025 YD
I saw a map, most probably a map of the Realms, but everything was covered over in cloudy miste. As this was the first time I had Seen this, I did not know what it meant as the time. Three patches in the fog open up. One is over an island out at sea, another just south of Blackavar. A third patch emerged, encompassing Tarngire and land all the way down to Silmataurae.
The island seemed to pulse and give off a blue light, and the south-of-Blackavar point pulsed fervently with a sort of orange or golden light. The third gave its own light, but after only a few minutes. It was a very faint green.
The perspective shifted and I could see a tall man in black, with shredded wings, casting over a crystal ball. It was too dark to see any defining marks on his clothing or face. Another being stand with him, short and clearly female, save the two marred stalks on her head. “Find the,” the voice of the female hissed. “Find those other ones NOW!”
The view changed again, a slightly shorter man walking in the woods with a taller man accompanying him. The short man wore greenery in need of a good wash, and some chain. The taller man had scraggly vines dropping down behind his ragged ponytail. They seemed to be focused on the surrounding wood rather than speaking to each other and then they both came to a halt. The taller man briefly looked over his shoulder and then bolted for the trees line, obscuring my view of him. The shorter man simply threw a rock over his shoulder at me.
The images blurred once more, and I was in the same woods again, dark and chilly, and dread took hold of me as I heard the moan of the undead echoing off the tree. A light bobbed up ahead: a flame. My gaze zoomed in on the flame, which became a torch, a torch being held by a woman dressed all in reads and blacks with soft brown hair and a red skull cap. She looked very troubled, saying, “Which way? Which way? Will they live to see the day?”
With a jarring sensation, I awoke, feeling the need for chocolate for some strange reason. Who were these people?
As I look over these notes on the 29th of May, it is obvious this was another InsectaFae Dream. The man in black was perhaps the Shadow, but then who was the woman with him?

InsectaFae Dream: April 23th 52,025 YD
“Show me, on a map I understand, the location of each of the Trees.”
I saw a map, my map, cover over in fog once more.
Patches open up in it… One over and island out to sea, another just south of Blackavar. A third opening up, encompassing Tarngire and all all the way down to the ruins Silmataurae. A fourth opened up, right outside the northwestern border of the Borderland (near L’havre Forest) close to the river and just south of the road to Charlesford.
There was a swirling pattern of commotion over the river where Draconia, Tuath Fasach, and Folkstone meets. Another pattern also began, residing over a point between the road and the forest, west of Priax and pretty directly west of the Lost lake Tavern.

InsectaFae Dream: May 20th 52,025 YD
“Show me what will happen to the Guardian when the One is brought back.”
I saw six people fight off the Shadow, I saw Grfy, Vawn, Pheonix and Josua, but the other two people were obscured by shadow (of course the last two Trees don’t have Guardians yet). The shadow was eventually defeated, and each of the Guardians fell to the ground, spent but happy. The Blessing (the Children) rose from each of them. I started to feel as though I didn’t want to see what happened next, as though it will not be a good for those who are the Guardians…

Vision May 20th 52,025 YD
“Show me how to retrieve possession of the Tree Spirits from the Shadow and its minions.”
The Vision was a chaotic conglomeration of colors and insane noises. Storm raged through the sky, lightning ripping the air apart. Blood and fire and brimstone rained down upon the forest… I got the distinct feeling that my Vision was being messed with.

InsectaFae Dream: May 31th 52.025 YD
The Dream I had last night I troubled me a lot… especially when I went back over it.
There was a single lit candle, a pair of books and an apple, all laid out upon an otherwise bare table…
A skeleton entering the dreamscape, wearing a tattered tabard and spiked helmet. It carried a big sword on his shoulder, a spell-pouch, and many enchanted weapons. The skulled turned in the direction of the table, and it hisses at the l ight candle gives. It tried to snuff it with a its bony fingers, and after a few tires was successful. Cackling filled my ears as it staggered away, proud of it victory. I believe this represented Lumineux.
A pair of books and an apple were left. Both lain upon an otherwise bare table.
A young scholar in regal robes of navy blue came to the books, opened them with his hands. He seemed inspired at the contents he read therein, but another hand snatched the books from the youth, throwing them away. A calloused hand of old, followed by a wizen face of bitterness. The youth got a troubled, hurt look on his face and padded softly away, while the old man made short work of the books, tearing them to pieces and littering the edges of my dream with them. He then spat upon the knowledge destroyed as she shuffled away, d’Amandes….
An apple was left. All by its lonesome on an otherwise bare table.
A small boy raised an arm, reaching out with a chubby hand for the shiny, red fruit. He stood on tip-toes of his bare feet, his tunic muddied and in need of repair. If only he could just get some help in retrieving the food, but instead a tall nobleman plucks the apple off the table. Polishing it a bit on his silver shirt, he took a juicy bite. And then another. The blue eye of the boy widened with tears, as the sugary nectar dribbled down the stubble of the man. And then he had his fill, he handed the broken core to the little boy, turned him around , and swats him on the backside to run along. The boy did so with a silent pain in his face, and hung his head in longing. The man nodded, confident of his choice, and walked in the opposite direction. Misrable…? Did the shadow get this Tree’s spirit as well?
An otherwise bare table is what remain, when the light is no longer welcome, when knowledge is kept secret, and food cannot be shared.
Of course, those are just the thought of this wandering woman.
But then, you’re asking, when did this stop being a dream…
“...and becoming a conversation?”
“Bonjour.
“Do not be afraid. I know many of you out there have question. The spirit can tell you what you seek. There is much to share, much to see
“Come, come, where the North and South meet. Come when most North and South sleep. Meet me at the bare table, early morning. You bring food, You there, bring the book. And you, right there. Yes, you bring the candle. The spirit shall guide the answers, and my deck stand ready to deal with the questions.
“And for goodness sake, don’t follow a Will-o’-the -wisp. Bad things, they are”
There is a small flash of blue light upon my sight, and then- I awoke, seating in my bed in Paradise…

Fortune Tell June 1st 52,025 YD
“Was the dream that sent to me last night a true communication from she who writes poetry?”
I think I phrased the question a little too tightly, for my answer was. “As puzzling as your question is, so shall our answer: Blue Light.”

Vision: June 2nd, 52,025 YD
“Who is the Blue Light.”
The Star card, from a tarot deck, appeared to me, but written on the bottom was “Demandez A Seigneur Vawn. “I know we’ve seen things in Visions and Dreams about a Blue Light that seemed like it was separate from d’Amandes. This is why I cast this Vision. I think the card means something about asking Vawn? Not sure at the moment.
After checking with Vawn. I found that the Blue Light is a Will-’o-the-wisp. Things that are known to pull you off your path.

Vision: June 2nd 52,025 YD
“Show me the current Guardian of Lumieneux.”
You get no reason, endless back that cover your mind.
You get no sight, save the light at your disposal.
You get no taste, for a bitter taste be on your tongue.
You get no touch, for all your world is callused to your grip.
You get no smell, for you know it’s of rotting meat and burned farms
. But you do hear all around you.

InsectaFae Dream: June 13th 52,025 YD
“And I can’t do anymore.” A woman flopped down upon a large toadstool, breathing heavily as she loosened the white ties on her tight scarlet bodice. “So muggy and hot: I can’t stand it! Why can’t we go visit that Ice Mage of fame? I hear he’s a she, now!” she rolled onto her stomach, stretching out. “It’ll be fun! Snowballs, snow cones, snow everything! Whaddya say, sister?”
The other woman was quite, legs crossed neatly underneath her silky dress of blue. She deftly shuffled the tarot deck in her hands, pulling the Star card. “It’s time to choose side,” she started in a soft, quiet voice.
No words passed between them, just the noise of crickets.
“I don’t want to…”
“It’s the way things have to be. You are my twin. What is your choice?”
“Do things always have to be this way, sister.” the woman asked, removing her red leather skull cap, showing off a mess of brown curls and two bright red short stalks rised from her head. She rose to a sitting position, awaiting a response and received none from the serene seer. She sighted.
“...alright, fine. I think we ought to help them. They’ve been walking around with some information, but lately they’ve been turning to you. For some reason I keep ending up dead or delayed so I can’t get to them, and it's getting quite annoying. Fate must have it out for me or something. I mean, I explain things so bluntly and you talk in frickin’ riddles! Why the hell would they seek your help? Not to mention the Summer Solstice is less than eight days away, and none of the mortal are absolutely sure about what to do or what might happen.” she said, leaning on her elbows to look up into the night sky.
The shuffling of cards paused. Again, crickets chirp their melody as no words pass.
“You choose the mortals, then? You choose to help the Guardians?”
“Yeah, I guess so. They don’t have all the Spirits yet, and they seem sincere in wanting to fix us, in wanting to help. If it means we get Her back, and everything gets back together and perfect… then why not? It really beats having a short life span and accomplishing nothing, only hearing about legends. I choose to help the rest of the family along, and in doing so aid the Guardians. One of them stuck in a soft place, anyway, and I ought to go lead him back home safe. So what if we Rogue Children? We’ve got a part to play in this, too, right? Ain’t that what the cards say?”
There was s light whoosh of air and the scarlet woman caught a card. She glanced at it. “La Mort; La Mort…?”
The crickets’ melody was pierced by a muffled explosion, and the sound of crackling magic hitting the ground in abundance. Night birds flew away from the tree branches in a tizzy, and a hoot owl sound a cry before taking flight.
The toadstool was completely charred, the top sunken in with a smoking scarlet body, staring off in shock. A serene hand came down and began to gather the blue lights up that downed the corpse to the fungus. She let them travel up her arm and spin around the edge of her wooden staff. She reach in and retrieve the card from the woman’s chest cavity, wiping it off on her blue sparkling dress.
“You are right, dear sister. You have made you decision. And, being you twin… and your opposite. I have to make mine. Balance is the part we somewhat play… and so to the Twisted Path I go. But first… I have a lead on your precious Guardian now, and I can’t let him get away.” She turned, the fabric billowing about her waist before completely floating to the ground. The staff dissipated, and the woman’s form melted away into a flurry of blue lights. They spun and twisted around each other, and then faded from view, crossing over into the other plane.
...and the crickets resumed their symphony as the storm approached.
I awoke with a start and penned a missive to Vawn to not trust the Blue under any circumstance. Little did I know, my message arrived too late. I now believe that if the Star card represents the Will-’o-the-wisps, and all the blue lights around the Duchenux the Blue, this leads to the probability that she has become, in a way, a Will-’o-wisp, herself…

Fortune Tell: June 13th 52,025 YD
“Did the event in my dream actually happen somewhere other than in my head?”
The answer came back, “Yes, they happened in a small community, newly made.”

Fortune Tell: June 13th 52,025 YD
“Show me Ducheneux the Red where she is right now.”
I saw Ducheneux the Red corpse readily baking in the noonday sun on top of a charred and large toadstool.

Spellcasting: June 15 52,025 YD
A fortune tell showed that the white spirit (Lumineux) is still surrounded by goblins. The force around her came back as being “strong enough for the likes of four.” There was talk of Lumineus having taken over, or being in the process of talking over, her host. I cast a Fortune Tell came back with the answer, “None of your business, mortal.” (To me, this means “yes”.) I tried to see where Lumineux, but the spell failed. I also tried to Vision to find out how to call Lumineux from the creature she was currently bond with and received no answer.
With all this, it seemed as though there was no way to get the spirit currently. Perhaps in the near future, however.

Spellingcasting: August 31st 52,025 YD
Vision: “Show me the ritual need to resurrect the One/Her in as much detail as possible.”
For one reason or another, all I saw was a young woman in a blue dress skipping and laughing and playing like a little girl, until she skipped off into a mistly gate. Her voice, low and melodic hum in the air, in a strange sort of sing-song tone…

“If you wish to follow me
Then down the rabbit hole I go,
The merry men on the chessboard
Get up and tell me my next move.
The Queen loses her head
Of the pieces leaving: I know
That the White Knight thinks
That he has nothing left to prove.”

Then the vision faded… I am curious as to if the White Knight is you, as I believe was referenced in the writhing of my doppelganger as a possibility? If it is, then I am unsure of what the last two lines mean. Does the young woman sound familiar to you? I of course haven’t met her yet but I don’t know if she’s someone that you’ve dealt with before in these matters. She doesn’t seem to match any description in the older writing on the InsectaFae…

Vision: “Show me how to heal Baldaquin.”
I saw a riot of color, and images of many faerie being sleeping beneath the ground, mere inches from the surface. All of the have black shadows within, and their sleep is troubled. Looking around, I realized that I was under the surface with them, and towards the surface itselfs I found myself dozing under pine trees, while a bright being patchwork guarded my body…
Could this patchwork have been Josua? I’m afraid I don’t know much about him except that he’s Reeve’s brother, isn’t he? I know from the paperwork that is is the Guardian of Baldaquin… perhaps it’s something that only he can do since he’s the appointed Guardian? The thing that troubles me was the feeling of shadow within each of those who are protected by their slumber--- I wonder if the Shadow is slowly affecting them the more they’re “hidden”?

Fortune Tell: “What is it that the spirit of curiosity need to learn from different hosts?”
After meditating on the quest for a while, I laid out three cards, past, present and future… the first was the Two of wands. This show that the encouraging aspects of the past were brought about thought beneficial partnerships, thought that the last one was not the success that was hoped for and left the spirit feeling unsatisfied. (I believe this mostly in reference to her time with Gryf, particularly how it ended.)
The next card, the present, was the Four of Wands. This show a time of completion, and well-earned rest. The situation may be reaching a successful maturity. Now would be a good time to bring an important matter to a close, though one phase can be used to give a positive start to the next. I feel that since this was asked about “learning from different hosts” that this means we are on the right track with d’Amandes now, that she is learning as she should be, and should go around though different host to learn as much as she can, being insatiably curious after all. Should the situation call of rit. I would he happy to be her host for a time if needed or thought to be appropriate.
The last card, the future, came out as the Three of Cups. this show entering into a period of pleasure and success, at the very least in the emotional sense. Celebrations, I believe in this situation this should be interpreted as saying that d’Amandeas should be learning more and more towards bringing the One back. With learning would eventually come a level of maturity, in theory, that would better guarantee success in bring the One back. (Actually, it is a theory of mine that all the spirits need to learn and mature before One can be brought back, but it’s even more imperative with d’Amades, as her whole aspect is curiosity itself.)

Vision: September 9th 25025 YD
I asked, “Show me which of the Spirits is the one the Shadow says he has possession of currently.”
I saw Vawn, always watching his back and the surrounding woods on a bright and sunny day, but never once seeming to feel a stare coming from his own shadow… things shifted, and I saw Josua, questing above the earth (while those he protects are encased within the earth still) and I saw… unmistakably, a black shell of an egg nestled within his body…
I think that the Shadow is possibly influencing Josua in subtle ways or at the very least has left a piece of himself within Josua and is biding his time. I have not been able to talk with Josua lately; it just seem that we are ever going to in opposite directions.

Vision and Fortune Tells: September 13th 52,025 YD
I cast a Vision to “show me how much influence the Shadow holds over Josua’s actions and thoughts.” As the Vision faded into view, I saw watching a large lake from high above it. A young elven male, maybe a young boy was casually throwing rocks into the lake. The ripple were serene to watch but it took about five minutes for the ripples to reach the other side. The effect was slow and graceful, but barely noticeable, as the lack was pretty much its own entity. We’d need a lot more rock to make bigger ripples or wave-- or an act of a deity…
I believe this indicates that the effect the piece of Shadow has on Josua is fairly limited at this point, but noticeable if studied closely. However the shad got inside him, if he acquired more shords, the effects would be more pronounced-- and there’s also the possibility that the Shadow itself could cause the piece to flare up and take much greater control of Josua. I think it’s a foregone conclusion that we need to get this out of him as soon as possible or all the Spirits will be at risk.
I next cast Vision to see “How do we fix Josua?”
I saw all the Guardians sleeping. Every once in awhile, one of you would twitch, hand on your sword or dagger or bow, or your faces showed a glimmer of emotion. I saw shade spacing around you, spirits. I believe they were the Spirits that you all protect. They were all different colors, blue, gold and deep green, white, purple, and two that were a sort of pink. And I swear I could head the laughters of children on the wind around us. Then the Vision faded away.
This seems to be fairly clear cut to me in that is shows, but I am not sure how it might be started. It rather looks like you all need to dream together to be able to help Josua-Baldaquin.
I’ve also gotten the old feeling lately that the regional magicks in the Mushroom Forest are going to very strange… I felt that they would center on Alice, Agent and Alberte. I double -checked the names in the notes that my doppelganger took.. I thought it would behooves us to try to find out what sort of magick were under each one.
When I asked what sort of spells where under the path of Alice, the alchemist, I saw her giggling with glee. She was baking something, and setting small cakes out on a table to cool-- but there was no over. No kitchen or tray. Just floating cakes… there was also a very large barrel nearby marked in the strange script that we think is InsectaFae, “Drink me.” She had leather bracers laid out as well, among other powders and potion bottles, humming a tune to herself.
When I ask what sore were under the path of Agent, the Rogue Child. I felt something much more basic, some sort of mask repairing, immunities, antidotes of all kinds if one knows how to make them.
And lastly, when I asked about Alberte, I got the feeling that the dead would not stay that way for long if I took that path. I am think that to mean healing.

Vision : September 17th 52,025 YD
A page arrived in Chimeron Castle announcing that Eagle’s Rooks was under attack… and so cast a Vision to see who attacking force was. I received images and words. A band of tiny goblins under a white flag came to Vawn. “Gobbo gobbo? Help us?” they said. I saw him feed them scraps of food under the white flag… and then cut them down. Calls rose up of “Gobbo gobbo! Revenge!” One head that was lopped off rolled down a wooded hill to where many starved and very frightened looking goblins laid waiting. They took one look at this and “KILL THE WHITE NIGHT!!”
A large tribe of goblins took camp in plain sight around Eagle’s Rook, they were all wearing the black tabards with the white -half face. In each camp, a few called out to someone … I couldn’t make out who, but could guess it was the Shadow, and the camp is cover over and around Eagle’s Rook by a very thick fog and pouring rain…
My feeling is that these goblins are not being well-treated whatsoever, as most are driven to starvation in these tasks the Shadow has them perform. I wonder what would happen if some us offered to feed and house them…? Could on break the Shadow’s hold over them? It is an interesting conundrum… and certainly not something we are used to.
I then proceeded to investigate further into the Baldaquin situation. I cast a Vision to “Show me the steps required to set up the dream-cleaning I saw in my previous Vision.”
I saw all the current Guardian laying down, some eager, some not so eager, on the grass in some sort of clearing. Gryf was there too, already asleep up in a tree. King Pyr stood to the side a bit, ready, but the world felt… off. Thing were warped somehow, even though they looked reasonably normal. It was a thought somehow the tree and such were not natural…
From there, things shifted rapidly and it was hard to keep up. There seemed to many creatures, many masks of varying types, and lots of talking. Stories were told to rapt audience, bardics were performed, test of arms and strength. Scouting through the forest needed doing, rangering… I saw the young boy who claims to Vawn trying to fight his way through spirits with a letter in his hand. Flower were everywhere. Combinations of things that should not have been. Hundred of voices all shouting for attention, a thousand, more. I could no longer keep track of everything, it was too much, I wanted to wake up!
And with a start, I pitched forwards, the Vision had ended. TO me, it seemed to indicate that there would be some sort of tournament going on… perhaps in Faerie? I am uncertain of why the world felt so wrong....

Vision: September 20th 52,025 YD
I cast some vision also to see how the autumn equinox would change the Spirits, the Guardian and the CHildren. These were cast individually, but I will be grouping them by the grouping around each Spirit (ie, the changes to the Guardian and the Children with each Spirit.)

Baldawuin:
For the Spirit. I saw a small dark green egg that was blacked slowly rolling in place inside of Josua.
For Josua himself, he seemed to bit tired, and a bit more irritable with some around him, but other than that he seemed fine on the outside (as we know its within him/Baldaquin that the problem is)
And of course I received nothing for the Children (As they’re asleep/hidden)

Coupant:
For the Spirit, once the equinox is here, there will be a large burst of color that grown within its Guardian, filling it about half-way. It’s almost shaped like a humanoid creature at this point.
Vawn, seem to have taken to wearing a bit of brown in his wardrobe, and was becoming even more of a hot-headed, short-tempered individual, who’d rather swing first and ask questions later (his is something I am becoming concerned with, but it seems to be what the Spirit needs to heal and grow). He also seems to enjoy that he Keep a lot more… something about a soldier’s life being preferable.
The Children will flood Eagle’s Rook, intending on making it their winter home.

d’Amandes:
I saw the spirit curling up into a ball, not interested in anything, sad and forlorn.
Porunn was working hard in Fairhaven to repair what the Ogre King and his minion had destroyed and raised… She’s so busy, in fact that she doesn’t even realize that it’s the equinox…
For the Children… Sarriette has been very busy, so much so that she hasn’t really felt the pull of her mother, either. And somewhere, some place, another Child hear the call… The only other Child of d”Amades that I know of is Bouquet… I think it’s a fair bet to suggest that Bouquet will at least know that d’Amandes is in trouble.

Fleuris:
As the two Guardians were holding hand, the red and pink Spirits were holding onto one another, able to fill their Guardians roughly a third of the way. They seemed very happy and loving, though the pink one is more cocky (I assume this is the Spirit inside Quartz.) The pink one is learning how to fight while the red is learning spells… Is Phoenix learning spells now?
Kwartz seem to be more for the look and style of his fight now, more often than not, rather the bathing the battlefield with blood as he once did. Phoenix seems to be growing more quiet and understanding, thinking to take it easy for a bit.
The Children of Fleuris seem to be taking it easy, swimming and laughing and have a lazy, great time in Fae, as they always have.

Lumineux:
The blind light of Lumineux has enveloped his Guardian, almost completely filling her. It felt… like a child with a favorite toy. He’d be damned if he was going to let anyone else play with what was HIS.
Even for Kyomi, it felt like… her feeling are change to , “It’s all about me!”
And so for the Children of Lumineux as well. I feel that perhaps they are all being far too cocky for their own good, but am unsure of what to say about it. We’ll see how they are out on the field (the Guardian and any Children that are around.)

Miserable:
The Spirit waited patiently, the color and energy seemed to be mostly around her shoulders and chest of Shalindra. I get the feeling that they are there for their Guardians, to guide, lead, listen… whatever the Guardian may needs.
Shalindra seemed… willing to sit still and listen a bit more, but seemed to still get distracted. Probably something to do with the lycanthrope in her. I think.
The Children left present in Tarngire, living as they always have, doing things in the natural order (more or less). I could not see exactly what the present were, but if the tales of carnivorous deer and such are to be believer (I have not confirmed this with Shalindra yet) then one might deduce that they are leaving proof of their kill, their skill at the hunt.

Missive and Communications

Before we got Vawn back to normal-size:
Bonjour Metron Scribe,
I feel your upon us… and beg your help. A tree has been stolen, and a Guardian laid low. The two are separate, but both are important.
Mon seigneur, please hurry to the Lost Lake Tavern. Find the Keep, From there, find me.
-May She guide you.
Ducheneux

Found on various scrolls in Iris’ shop at N/S War 05’”
If you fear the sword that stings go to Miserable for its Ring.

Down the rabbit hole I go…
Will you stop me?...
… I don’t think so.

An eye for an eye. Until we’re all blind and then… what will happen to us?
We wonder if the Shadow knows?
Look for me among the toadstools.
Follow me to the mushrooms forest.
With a little luck, you’ll find it.
Happy Day.

Fortune Tells from Ducheneux the Blue
For Kyomi (Three Readings)

Kyomi chose the Magician to represent herself. She considered it to be the one that most appealed to her. Her other significator was Truth.
“The Shadow Truth spread is a difficult one, m’lady,” Ducheneux began, “The Shadow Truth spread provides insight into your attitudes and hidden feelings. This spread is used when you are having trouble confronting something, or fear that you are concealing a something from yourself.
“As for your significator, you chose Le Bateleur, also knows as the Magician.
“Should he show, it means mastery over word, mind and matter. THe ability to turn ideas into action, handle problem, and control one’s life. Eloquent and moving communication. Arcane and eldritch technologies. I hope for you he does, and if he does, is not reversed.”
She dealt the cards in a cross-pattern and look down at them. “The significator isn’t shown. That means you will either be taking a small role, or a thankless one, in the time ahead.
“The card in the center represents the attitude you assume. Reyne d’Epee (Queen of Swords): The essence of aire behaving as water, such as a refreshing mist: a person gifted with both keen logic and natural intuition, giving them uncanny powers of perception and insight. One who easily see past deception and confusion to the heart of a matter, and understands both sides of any argument. The embodiment of calm, forthrightness, and wit, in the face of even the most trying circumstances.”
She pointed to the next one. “The card to the right represent the thoughts and feelings that underlie your attitudes. Two of Batons (Dominion): Established power and influence over others. Setting goals and a vision for the future. Coming to grips with the impact of past decisions, considering the current state of affairs, and developing a plan of action. Responsible leadership.
“The card at the top represent how your attitude is evolving and will evolve in the future. Le Jugement (Judgement): a swift and conclusive decision. The resolution of matter long unanswered. A change in point of view, most frequently towards great enlightenment. Final balancing of karma.
“The card to the left represent how other perceive your attitude. La Roue de Fortune (Wheel of Fortune), when reversed: An unexpected turn of bad luck. A broken sequence of events. Outsider influences for the worse. An inescapable descent due to Fate or Karma. Great changes taking place as a result of earlier action that cannot be take back. Misfortune, failure and reluctance to use free will.
“The card at the bottom represents what you cannot confront or are hiding from yourself. La Mort (Death): a major change or transformation, possibly traumatic and unexpected. Freedom from the shackles of the past. A new beginning. Death coupled with rebirth, usually related to consciousness and lifestyle.”
She leaned back and arched an eyebrow at Kyomi. “Did you have some bad choices in the past, perhaps? Some skewed visions of the future?”
Kyomi considered for a moment, “People usually don’t have the right perception about me. Consider me petty and material. They never see when I go all out for a cause, or when I try to help others. I usually provide the answers to question and never get the credit for it. I’ve accepted this and am working to take more active role, try to show people that I’m not what they thing. They’ve judge and labeled me with really knowing me.”
She paused for a moment, “But I work on what counts, fighting the great threats to the realms, making sure that other who fight get what help I can give them, even if I get no recognition or thanks. I don’t do it for praise. I do what I do cause it need to get down, but I don’t see where this show how to help the Light being taken.”
“Then perhaps a different spread is in order for you.” Duchenueax responds. She gather the five cards and shuffled again, “Pick a word from before. We’ll keep the Significator.” She stared at her deck as she shuffled.
“Fates” Kyomi said, stealing a glance over at me.
“The three fates…” Duchenueax spoke to the cards, dealing the out. “Ask your question. M’lady. Maybe use fewer words.”
“Show me how to guard the light,” Kyomi said, watching the fortune teller.
She laid the cards out one, two, three, next to each other.
“The three fates spread is an exceptionally popular way to gain insight into the emerging arc of past, present and future. Again, your cards is not shown, so this mean that you might be watching from the sides, or in the back, working.
“The left card represent an important element of the Past. Six of Baton (Victory), when revered: Arrogance and dangerous overconfidence as the result of a past success. Impudence and false pride in meaningless achievements. Fear of failure coupled with false hopes. Frustration over indefinite delays and motion without progress.
She pointed to the center. “The middle card represent a deciding element of the present. Roy De Baton (Kind of Barons): The essence of fire behaving as air, such as lightning. A great and daring leader who inspire other to rise to challenges along him. One who is forceful, charismatic, and honest, leading by example, but unafraid to invest authority in other. A dashing and magnetic personality, carrying authority naturally, and striking at the world with swiftness and grace.”
“The right card represents a critical element of the future. Le Pendu (The Hanged Man): Pausing to reflect: Surrendering to an experience. Adjusting to new ideas through sacrifice. Opening oneself to intuition and enhanced awareness. Letting go of the past pattern a growing beyond them. Inner peace, faith and serenity.”
“That’s a rather rough past,” Kyomi told her, “the middle I can see as Vawn. He sort of prodded me into this… got everyone to get moving and share ideas. Maybe there is something I’m missing in the other things we know, but we don’t know how to find the tree.”
“Perhaps, Twice now, your card has hidden itself.”
“The poem said to find the blue, then go find the light…”
Ducheneaux arched an eyebrow and looked to Kyomi. “Been reading verses, have we?”
“Well, we thought it was someone else, but the lines may have been referring to here and now… one more time. This time, I want you to choose the spread. I think the future card may have been the immediate future. Magick work in threes something. Maybe this time it will come up?”
The fortune teller smiled, “Hmph, Alright m’lady. I’ll choose for you. Do you wish to change your question?”
“A little… show me how to find the light.”
She nodded, and said aloud, “Show her how to find the light… give her a fourfold vision…” I almost wondered if she was talking to the cards, or someone else? Perhaps a spirit that we could not see?
“The fourfold Vision spread offers a progression of different ways of looking at an object, person,or situation. It is a powerful tool for gaining deeper insight into the specific subjects of other readings.”
Kyomi nodded and Ducheneaus laid out once more. She shook her head, “Again, no Magician… It might mean a lot of things. It might mean you are above the event that are transpiring or far removed.
“The car on the far right represent the object being view, be it an idea, relationship, or the self. L’Amoureux (The lovers). A caring and trusting relationship. Beauty and inner harmony. A decision calling for emotional control and faithfulness to spiritual values.
“The card second from the right represents the physical vision: how the object is seen at the base or mechanical level. Valet d’Epee (Page of Swords): The essence of air behaving as earth, such as a steady wind: The approach of an unexpected challenge, to be met with clear thought and just action. A person filled with an eager appetite for all matter of mind and logic. The gathering of information through unfaltering vigilance, careful examination, and subtle spycraft. The use of reason or eloquent speech to penetrate the veil of confusion and cut to the heart of the matter.
“The card in the middle represent the mental vision: the object personified and seen through a humanized perspective. Ten of Swords (Ruin), when reversed: the darkness before the dawn. An ending to suffering, leading to spiritual transformation. A crushing and seemingly total defeat that hides within it the seeds for final victory. Ultimate knowledge gained through ultimate sacrifice.
“The card second from the left represent the emotion vision: how passions and values are creatively stimulated by the mental vision. La Roue de Fortune (Wheel of Fortune), when reverse: an unexpected turn of bad luck. A broke sequence of events. Outside influence for the worse. An inescapable decent due to Fate or Karma. Great change taking place as a result of earlier action that cannot be take back. Misfortune, failure and reluctance to use free will.
“The card on the far left represent the fourfold or mystical vision: still viewing through the previous three, we now add a spiritual element, revealing unseen aspects of the object Le Mat (the Fool), when reversed: Apathy, negligence, and dangerous carelessness. Unquenchable wanderlust. Obsession with someone or something, losing all sense of proportion. Foolhardy adventuring and lack of interest in critical matters. Immature or unrealistic ideas. Strange impulses and desire coming from unexpected sources. Vanity, delirium, folly, and oblivion”
She light touched a finger to the Fool card, and glanced over at the others. Pheonix, Kwartz, Shalindra and Josua. “C’est lavie…”
“What?” Kyomi asked.
Ducheneaux leaned back in her chair, crossing her staff across her lap. “That’s life. The deck is my life, and it speaks truth to me.”
Kyomi seemed to consider her for a moment, “I have my own thought on this but would like to hear your as well.”
“My thought…?” She shrugged. “Sir Vawn asked me once for a reading, then another. He had a friend with him that didn’t take to the reading very well, either. Court.”
“My cards deal the Truth, but one can find A Truth they’d much rather head by switching signification, asking the deck for no reversals, and so forth. As for the young man’s name, I care not. You can choose to disregard the cards, but in doing so you tempt fate, in my experience,” she said quietly, gathering them up again and shuffling.
“People see what they want to. The best lies are the truth with a piece of two left out.”
“But of course, “ agreed the fortune-teller.
“Unfortunately, I can’t see the whole truth through cards…”
“No one can, unless they were a card themselves.”
“So I will take what clues I can… I still don’t know where to go, though… how can we track it down, now, and d’Amandes as well.”
Ducheneaux shrugged. “Good luck, then, friend who is not family.”

For Metron (One reading)

“You are the one who beckoned me here… is there something you wish me to know, m’lady?” I asked the Ducheneux.
The woman nodded, “at the time, it was to save a man. But now I see that all is, in fact alright. Vawn is here… but I do not see the other. Pray tell, there was much destruction I came upon. What happened here?” she asked.
“Thing are all right save the for the spirit of Lumineux and d’Amandes… Vawn had an altercation with the enemy, but found a way to survive.” I decided to guard my response a little, being as we still don’t know which side Ducheneux the Blue is on.
“Good.” came her own guarded response. “He is a hearty soul, to be sure, and has the making of a fine leader. What questions is no on your mind?”
I look over to the group in the tavern, talking in not-so-huddled conversation. “I am curious if there is a way to call the Tree’s spirit away fromt eh host the Shadow has imbued them into… and how it would be done.”
“I see,” she said in a soft tone. “Do you want to represented in the readings”
“I do, as I intend to aid the proceeding as much as possible.”
Ducheneux nodded, spreading the cards briefly. “Then choose: Batons, Swords, Cups, Coins, Magick or Faith.”
“Magicks,” I replied.
Ducheneus gathers the cards again to shuffle and deal. “Do you want to choose a spread, or shall I?”
“I do not use the tarot myself… I would like a spread that one can garner the most information from if they interpret it correctly.”
She softly chuckled. “Do you like many cards, or under five.”
“Many cards are agreeable.”
“Do you want both the good and the bad news that may be gleaned from it, or just what you want to hear?”
“I wish to know the truth… so both the good and the bad. I do not wish to lie to myself or others.”
Ducheneux nodded, and spoke quietly to her deck. “Spirits, hear me, Send the answer to Master Metron’s question. Tell him if there is a way to call the Tree’s spirits away from the hoste the Shadow has imbued them into.”
She laid out the cards in a strange configuration. “The Cross and Triangle spread is a powerful means of understand complex situations, developed by an ancient order that followed the golden Dawn.” said Ducheneux as she placed the other cards away from the spread.
“The first card, the significator, is places in the center of the the cross. This card represents the prime energy manifest in your life. Le Bateleur (The magician): Mastery over word, mind, and matter. The ability to turn ideas into actions, handle problem, and control one’s life. The initiation of new projects, great works, or a new way of life. Eloquent and moving communications. Arcane and eldritch technologies.
“The second car, place about the significator, represent Air. It describes your spirit, process of thought, and the influence of reason. La Papesse (The popess): a pure, exalted and gracious influence. Education, knowledge, wisdom, and esoteric teaching. The force of nature. Intuition, foresight and spiritual revelation or the most mysterious and arcane sort.
“The third card, places to the right of the significator, represents Fire. It describes your motivation, creative energies, and the influence of passion. Le Chariot (The Chariot): when reversed: Ineffective use of force. Might turned against the weak or the righteous. Senseless violence and warmongering. Lack of discipline and poor direction fan the flame of a situation already out of control. Advance without consideration of the consequences for others.”
She pointed to the next card, “The fourth card, place below the significator, represents Water. It describes your emotions, meditations, and the influence of love. Le Diable (The Devil) when reversed: Resistance of temptation. Freedom from bondage. The pursuit of higher goals despite the influence of luxury and pleasure. Release from obsession with money and power. Liberation from fear, weakness and indecision through communion with height power or the inner voice.
“The fifth card, places to the left of the significator represent Earth. It describes your physical presence, position in life, and the influence of the material world. Four of Coins (Power): Cleaving to earth power in the desperate fear that it will be lost Making yourself an obstacle to progress due to lack of originality and a desperate fear of change . Believing that security and identity are based primarily on the possession of material things. Coveting things and people. Living in a cloud of suspicion and prejudice.”
She waved her left hand over the spread. “At this point the cross is complete and the triangle is formed. The six card, placed on the bottom left of the triangle represent one of the two opposing forces. Reyne d’Enee (Queen of Swords), when reversed: the dark essence of air behaving as water, such as a cold rain: A person gifted with both keen logic and natural intuition , giving them uncanny power of perception and insight. One who easily see the weakness in an argument, and savages friend and foe alike with biting sarcasm. Dry and vicious with cover a hollow sense of isolation and dissatisfaction with life.
“The seventh card, places on the bottom right of the triangle represent the force that oppose the bottom left card. These force may be external, but they are frequently one’s own inner archetypes in conflict. L’Empereur (The Emperor), when reversed: Weakness in character leading to tyranny and abuse of worldly power. Loss of confidence and ambition, coupled with the cold execution of the unthinkable. The inability to carry out plans or commands respect.Being unreasonable and prone to fits of rage. A deceiver or demagogue.
“The eight car, the reconciler, is placed below the cross in the third vertex of the triangle. This is the force that will resolve the conflict between the bottom left and the bottom right cards. By meditation on this force and bring more of it into your life, you can bring the matter at hand to a swifter conclusion than would naturally occur. Ace of Swords: The seed of victory--perhaps as yet unseen. A challenge to be met and solve thought the invocation of force. An opportunity to bring reason and intelligence to bear in the pursuit of justice and truth. An excessive power that must not be abused. May suggest new ideas or information that can reveal a solution to the problem at hand.
“The ninth and final card.” finished Ducheneux, “is placed in the center bottom of the triangle. It represent the final outcome unless you change course. Ace of Batons. The seed of a new venture-- perhaps as yet unseen. An opportunity to be met with boldness, vigor, and enthusiasm. The herald of birth, invention, or entrepreneurship. An innate and primal force release. May suggest a surge of vitality, creative, or fertility that can set things in motion.”
She leaned back in her chair, placing her fingertips against each other in a splayed motion, bring her pointer tips to her lips. She started at the cards. “I hope you found this reading satisfactory, “ she said quietly after a minute, letting catch up with my writing.
I did, and thanked her for her time.

Poetry

April 3rd 52,025 YD
I am close than you think
To a tree that’s drowned in pink
In their graves I’ll bury cherries
And upon them shall make merry.

One against Three
Three against one
Three all alone
Fun’s just begun.

So bring on the battle
And bring on the sky.
Thought one tree died crazy
Yet savory lives, why?

They’ll only bring you loneliness.
They’ll only bright you hate.
They’ll only bright yo to your death.
But then it’s much too late.

I miss you love, of darkened skin
I miss you, love so blind.
I miss you, love that burned in sin…

But mostly I miss my mind.

April 5th 52,025 YD (From Kyomi)
Poet, Your mind is not lost. It is closer than you realize, merely buried under the darkness in your own mind. Only you have the power to free yourselfs. Only you can find what you’ve lost. We will help you on your quest. Creature of Pure Void. I can help you.
April 5th 52,025 YD (From Kyomi)

POet, I’ll speak plainly
And show you what I see.

More than an ear
Take an eye and hand and write with me

Better to see and to guide
The lost and the blind

Together if you’ll let me
I’ll help you find your mind.
