Atticus,

I was talking with Aisling and asking her to help put Shane's Star back together. When I explained the whole situation. She got overwhelmingly sad. enough so that it was affecting me. She said it was bad that a Mage shattered an Inventor's soul and when I tried to find out what she meant. She said " I can not say, Outsider." She never really addresses me as Outsider. Which means it's probably something only a Counselor or Pathwalker can look into.

She has gone to go find his pieces and try and put him back together. So she may not be easy to reach if you try to talk to her.

Laurante,

I'll look into this. Before I do, can you fill me in more on
what you know? What happened to Shane?

Atticus
-----
Atticus,

What I told you is all I know. Until last night I was blocked from
speaking to Aisling. When she heard what I told her about him she left
in a wake of saddness to go try and fix him. My link to her was cut
off, which means she needed to concentrate all her Will into the task.
I did later ask Luna to aid her, but I did not get an answer other
than to know my Intervention was cast.

Laurante,

I brought this up with Nimbus, and she had some advice. She said something to the effect of "that's something for the dead, or the spiritual, to look into". I suspect that, rather than pushing off my question, she was sending us off in the most productive direction.

Have you considered looking into this with a Seance, or while using the Ghost rune? (Or perhaps both?) Let me know what you come up with, and what works or doesn't, and I can help follow up further from there. The time may come where the answer will be for me to speak with Death directly.

Atticus,

Shane is no longer where Death holds sway. I had Aisling look into trying to fix him and she came to me in misery that she could do nothing and had lost him. I used Ghost to go to her and console her. We spent last night looking at her Stars in quiet reflection.

What she was able to find out has me worried though. He is now in the Dreaming in the domain of a powerful Dream Lord. A man with a mask and stories. She said she also saw a bad omen. A creature wearing a Rowan leaf who scared her away. I will call out to Antioch this week to see what he can reveal to me about Shane's fate. The Dreaming is one of his playgrounds.
The Dreamers should also be asked to look into this. It's their playground too now.

Laurante,

This does indeed sound like a matter for the Dreamers, then. It has been a few years since I ventured into the Dreaming myself, and they are no doubt more versed in this than most. Perhaps this is an opportunity for the different counsellor-types to work together.

I am afraid I do not yet have access to the communication channels mentioned earlier. Have you yet passed this on to the Dreamers to look into?
