Date: May 1013 Responses: Varied Not sure if you know this but I do now have the seeds for Fleuris. Talk me again through what happened and what we need to do... I know all but one tree is gone, but that we can replant them. we need the appropriate seeds. Have them blessed by an earth god/goddess. 6 things of significance of us one of which is a part of us. Find one of the children of our tree and sacrifice them planting them the seed and the objects together. Did I follow that correctly? Fill in my blanks. Thanks, Phoenix ---- I've copied Gryf and Cimone. If you do not wish to be involved in the conversation, just let me know. If you do, the short version is that most of the Insectafae trees are no more, with Bedlam having taken over Faerie, and we have until the Fall to fix the problem by replanting the trees in the Realms. I thought I remembered it slightly differently with the items of significance, but my memory is spotty lately. Perhaps Laurante can clarify the process and the ramification of not doing this. I also didn't think Coupant was among the trees that needed to be replanted, but I don't know why I think that as he was clearly overrun by Bedlam. I know Gavin and Rubis rescued the Duchess of Blossoms by gathering some flowers and those flowers had some connection to the Insectafae trees, but I don't know if they were the seeds we require and was kind of exhausted when they were explaining it to me. We were not able to get seeds from Faerie before it fell, but my understanding is that mundane seeds will work, it just is harder. And a very important point, the children of the tree - in fact I believe it needs to be the Chosen - have to sacrifice themselves. We're not killing anyone to save the trees. Vawn ----- Since this involves them, and a majority of them are living in L'Havre, I am showing these letters to the Insectafae. This is how I learned of what needs to be done. The Vision I cast was in regards to how I could regrow the trees. The steps I got were as followed. Remember, this Vision was from my perspective and any reference to I could very likely be subsituted for another, but we should cast some spells to find out for sure. I saw 6 gifted handed to me, and at least one of them had to be part of the body from the giver. (I saw a lock of hair given.) The other 5 had to be personal to the giver. (I saw Phoenix giving dirt from Folkestone as one of the gifts.) I then saw me choosing a seed and I got the impression that it had to be a seed from Fae. I then got the impression that if I did not have one of those, then a normal seed could be used if it was blessed by a nature God. The type of seed needed to be chosen carefully because it's type would determine what type of tree would grow. I then saw myself meeting up with a Guardian who was talking with their type of Insectafae. I do not know the specifics of the conversation since it was just a Vision, but Cimone seemed to know what would be involved in the talk. I then saw the Guardian stabbing the Insectafae, and I got the impression that this step was agreed upon by both the Guardian and the Insectafae. I then saw myself burying the Insectafae with their seed, and after some time a tree would grow as long as it was kept safe. The impression I got here was that the Insectafae was transformed into this tree and would fully become the Tree. I then Seance'd Luna to find out what could be done about not having Kwartz around for the Fleuris, and she said that the new tree could be made without him, but the Fleuris would no longer be twins. That is everything I got that night. Vawn, I included you in the knowing of all this because I figured it was easier to include you early rather than play catch up with you later. The Coupants are safe, and a new tree does not need to be grown for you and them. However the others do need a new tree. If a new tree is not grown by the fall, they will all become Rogue Children, and it is my understanding that this would also mean that the Insectafae would die out as a race without a Tree to be born from. Laurante ----- Now I'm adding Mestoph as he has been helping me with research. Laurante, I thought you had said all but Lumineux needed to be regrown? If Coupant doesn't than does Lumieux or are there two that are ok? Mestoph's work seems to indicated guardianship of Fleuris could potentially be transferred from Kwartz. I've asked Saka to consider taking his place, which is why (though no one has asked) I included him in the conversation. By the way. Thank you for this information Laurante. Phoenix ----- Sorry, I meant to include Lumineux as not needing a new tree. Lumineux is safe somewhere inside Creathorne. - L ----- I believe Coupant is ok because magic several years ago made the entire line of coupants, including their tree, into elves. i only have a guess on what needs to be said, but i recall that the representative of discordia spoke to each of the chosen before killing them last time we did this confirming that it was time and that they were ready. regarding an earlier note - yes, we are going to have to permanently destroy the body at least of one of the children of each tree we're doing this for. the process is basically to turn them into the new parent tree. laurant had indicated any seed of faerie would do, for example i have a golden acorn from Cuchulain that i never planted, but if people found plants this past weekend who's seeds might be better suited, i think getting trees as close to the originals as possible would be a good idea. Cimone ----- We have several plants from this weekend, and Curt is giving me a run down but I need a little bit to parse it (OOC: get out of work). Mestoph ----- That makes sense, the bit about us being elves now. I knew there was a reason, I just didn't remember the obvious one. I did notice, but I figured there was a good reason Saka was included. Gavin and Rubis seemed to know a bit about the flowers they rescued. The explained it all to me, I was unfortunately still in stab-anything-that-looks-like-Bedlam mode, and the details did not stick. Vawn ----- My squire, while awesome, has a short attention span (it's a cat thing). While he might have known stuff Saturday, he doesn't now. I'll try to connect with Gavin. Phoenix ----- I will attempt to find the remaining Miserable' children. We will prepare and assist as necessary. This is a grievous loss... we must endure. -Gryf ----- Sorry it took me so long to get back to this, it was a long day in the distillery. What I got was apparently a message from Queen Nymbous that I needed some divine help in understanding (I don't speak Insectfae). The gist of it is: you are not replanting/regrowing your trees. Aside from Coupont (whoever that is) and Lumineux (whoever that is), the other trees are gone. All you can do at this point is start anew with the seedlings Gavin, Piper, and Rubis recovered. Oddly enough this seemed directed at you specifically Vawn, or rather you were the one she mentioned by name. I'll be happy to share the transcript I recived with any who wish to see it. Also, Phoenix I do not believe a transfer of Guardianship is necessary. That tree is gone and cannot be recovered. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. Mestoph ----- mestoph - if you end up with more information in insectafae and haven't gotten the translating all the way down yet, i'm able to read it or could pass the info along to you on how to it's good to hear that we have found seeds specifically intended for this purpose rather than having to make do with what we already had. gryf - i don't know how many of them decided to take it, but laurant offered safe haven to all the insectafae in L'Havre a while ago. you might want to check there first and see if anyone there knows if there are others about and where they might be.
