Concerning Elwick Dragonsburrow and Cosetter Beaumont

I was told at Queen of Heart of this year (52,025 YD) that a Call the Soul will not work correctly on either Cosette or Elwick currently. Their souls were mixed through regional magicks Friday night. Currently, Elwick only has about 10%-15% of her own soul, and the rest of Elwish’s is said to be trapped in hell-- being battled over by demons called the Soultaker and the Champion. Another, the Dream Demon, is binding it's time to get its hooks into Elwick’s soul as well. This was all told to me by Nero, Elwich and Cosette…
I only cast a fortune tell on the day, as it was my impression that Visions had gotten reflected back or had hurt the Seer who used them. What I found on the way, after asking what Cossette had done to bring Elwick back to life (as he was dead and scalped Friday night and woke up Saturday morning to find Cosette dead and scalped).
The cards revealed that an obligation of self-sacrifice was made because of a romantic or attraction element, and a difficult choice came. Positive happenings lead to a sense of joy and freedom (I assume this is when the “deal” was accepted). The wish was granted, but one had to handle the issues correctly or pay the price for they faced an unpleasant but necessary decision. And this was sealed with the sighting of a pack.

Vision: “What specific action(s) did Cosette perform or agree to in order to enable Elwick to be alive once more?”
The image formed slowly at first, sluggishly. It was hazy at first but gradually came into greater and greater focus. Cosette was kneeling beside the corpse of Elwick… he looked peaceful, but if I looked closer I could see that his chest was not moving. He was not breathing. Cosette’s distress was obvious. She held a piece of cloth in her hands, to me it looked like a Protect the Soul sash… wider, thought. It was blue, less than a foot wide, and long enough to wrap around a man and more. The room was brightly-lit, the glow of dozen of candles making it seem as bright as day. Cosette seemed to be in some sort of prayer, her eyes closed and her brow furrowed… she held the sash skywards, her mouth moving with purpose and emotion. It was at this point that I realized I could not hear anything. The question was too specific… She pronounced a final plea, and collapsed, as a radiance, it was mostly white but with striations of blue through it, flowed from her and surrounded him. A moment later he drew a sharp intake of breath and now Cosette was no longer stirring…

Vision: “Show me the best way to fix Cosette.”
The place was dark, the sky a deep red, as though the sun was showing through blood-soaked clouds… the plants looked withered, barely alive. I saw a clearing ahead and went towards it, a fire was burning brightly in the middle, much higher than it should have, a man wearing a cloak stood on the other sider, across the fire. His face and even the definite form of his body was hidden by his robes. He reached out a gnarled, ancient hand and motion to three paths heading out from the clearing before me…
Everything shifted and I was suddenly above the scene before me. Each of the paths stretched on for miles and miles. Each had a terminus with an aura of power or magicks… one was violent, the second was a ruddy red, and the last was the color of Malachite, greenish. All three paths lead back around the that first clearing with fire, where the robes figure still waited. I saw Elwick hand the man something, but what it was seemed to change in size and shape with colors of twilight, sunset and jade. The man reached into one of his flowing sleeves and pulled forth a brightly-glowing sphere, which he tossed at Elwick…
Things shifted once more. I found myself in Tuath Fasach, outside somewhere. I was facing Jeyde. She, Elwick and Cosette were all a magickal circle. Elwick and Cosette sat across from each other, holding hands. The bright-blue-glowing sphere sat on the ground beneath them… Jeyde paced about, calling up towards the sky. I still could not make out any words, but I would image she was calling to the Beast.
A ghostly mist was pulled from Elwick’s body and enveloped Coseete, as an ectoplasmic force. Elwick slumped over, still alive but barely. Cosette seemed fine now, as the nimbus around her had faded. Jeyde walked around the circle again, seeming a little frantic (understandably so, I think). The light escaped the sphere while I watch, enveloping Elwick, a blue nimbus. After a moment it dissipated as well, absorbing into him. He shook his head like he was clearing it, stood up, grabbed his words which was lying about the circle, and stalked off…

Fortune Tell: “How can we fix both the stewards of steel and combat of this land and the fighter who is still under a feline lycanthropic sure without harming the other?”
The cards came up as the High Priest, the Two of Cups and the World. None were inverted. I just wanted to verify what the second vision showed… This FT show that hidden influences are at work on the situation, which would make sense if Elwick’s soul is being fought over in hell, and that the future is not set enough to predict thoroughly yet… the second card show a commitment being needed. I would surmise that this would be our commitment to help Elwick and Cosette, our willingness to see thigh thought. The last shows… everything working out. Beginning a new cycle of life, a period success.

Fortune Tell: “What is most likely to happen if we simply tried to take the steward of steel and combat’s soul from the robed man in my vision?”
The cards come up The Fool, reversed: the Ten of Swords; and the Devil, reversed. The first card shows ill-advised risks, as well as impulsive actions, which honestly is what that plan feels like. Foolish wasting of creative energy… the second shows… ruin and desolation, Sorrow and sudden misfortune, the only cause of optimism being that thing can’t get worse from there… and the last… represent true evil and abuse for authority. Greed and uncontrolled ambition… true evil.
I think it safe to say that a frontal assault would be a mistake. He would be too powerful for them and the’d probably all belong to the man in the robe.

August 17th 52,025 YD
Vision: “Show me the meaning of the three paths concerning Elwick’s soul.”
I found myself in the same clearing as before, the old man was standing before me, gesturing to the three paths that lead away from the clearing with an empty hand. Each path glowed different colors, the same violet, reddish and greenish. I looked down the violet path and things seemed to blur and shuttle along as though the path covered a great distance. There was a small clearing some distance along. In the center of the clearing there was a sword, which seemed to be embedded in something, the blade shined with a violet light.
Down the crimson path, the shuttling along took ever longer. It was a very very long path. I eventually found myself in a marshy woodland. In among the trees there was a glass coffin or sarcophagus… the area it lay in was bathed in a ruby-like aura. There was a form within and something rested upon the figure that seemed to be what was creating the red glow, but I couldn’t make out what it was…
And down the last one, the emerald path, the trail ended much quickly. A large number of creature stood before me, weapons held ready. Behind them stood a single individual, like a jade green ember, glowing and unmoving. With a start, i found myself back in the clearing, watching Elwick hand a single object over to the old man in the robe…
It SEEMS like they’re only going to need to get on the items on the path, but I can’t be completely certain.

Vision: “Show me a way to keep bits of Elwick’s and Cosette’s soul nearby, or in an object, so that they can’t be completely lost to us.”
There were many things I saw shown… each was worse than the next. The more benign, all thing being equal, including what seemed to be a powerful bit of necromancy where one drew forth part of an individual's spirit and placed it inside an enchanted container, and a shamanic sort of ritual that involved the spilling of much of one’s own blood, rites of excruciating pain, eventually bonding the souls of the two before the shaman… other ways involved… the ritual slaughtering of various animals and creature… to create vessels for the souls, and the use of demonic entities to draw forth the essence of the person to be places within it…

August 20th 52,025 YD, Chimeron Propper

Vision: “Show me the violet path in greater detail.”
My vision took me down the path once more slower than the last time. It traveled through some fairly desolate terrain before plunging down through the earth, possibly a tunnel or some sort. The way twisted and turned through what on second consideration seemed to be small opening between rocks that ranged from giant boulder to those about a foot across. Down and down, the journey seemed to last for hours. Eventually i felt that all motion came to a stop. It was completely black. As my eyes adjusted, a slight glowing could be discerned that ended up coming from the hilt of a sword. The sword blazed to life as a mountain of a man stepped between myself and it. He was wearing a kilt, baldric and looked terribly determined. Half of his face was streaked with wode. He stood at least 7 feet tall and had short hair. A great sword in his hand, he came towards me, his words unintelligible but his anger and actions making his intent clear. I stepped to the side as his claymore crashed down and I saw a great melee of combat entered into by Elwick and the others… I think Jeyded and Brightammer were with him, but I can’t be entirely sure. The only person there for sure was Elwick, but that may be because this all is tied most to him. Their weapons, however, did not effect the giant and just served to infuriate the man=mountain more.
I found myself suddenly in front of the sword again, moving towards it as the sounds of combat continued behind me. Someone died, there were Raised, the fight continued, as I found myself in a close crevice between two boulders. The larger of the two appeared to be on top of a rather fell-looking man in whose chest the glowing sword was impaled. He seemed to be pinned also by the boulder. There are a series of tribal tattoos across the left side of his ruined face. With a start, his eye opened and he flashed a crooked smile at me, his teeth unnaturally sharp and filed to a point. I came to them, shivering uncontrollably though the room i was in a Chimeron Castle were really fairly warm. I took some time before casting again concerning this matter, but I did cast once more.

Vision: “How might the member of Tuath Fasach sneak into the place where Elwick’s soul is being kept without being discovered?”
I was bombarded with a flood of images, cascading one over another until I passed out. When I re-awoke, i had dried blood crusting under my nose, but I started to sort out what I’d seen…
It was obvious that Elwick’s soul is not actually in Hell… I’ve been there before, and this place isn’t it… not exactly. The main problem with sneaking in would seem to be that you’d need to be a native of the plane it is on the survive without suitable protection. Also, the peoples that inhabit this place aren’t really alive, necessarily, so us mere mortals would stand out like a sore thumb…
The plane seems to be a sort of prison of plane of punishment for souls, to stay there and accept their penance for eternity. Thus, there are way that seemed to safeguard that inhabitants from escaping… Getting in would be somewhat easier, but given that the edges of the plane are watched quite well, it’s unlikely that any group larger than maybe 3-5 individuals would be able to get in without being found… i saw a group of 20 trying to enter in and they where found and resisted immediately… I did not see if they prevailed… the “border patrol” does not really simply upon the five senses to detect intruders or escapees, but are able to feel and search for magickal vibrations as well.
The quest involved in “sneaking” in were long and arduous, and were so detailed that I could not remember everything, but it seems that they would take much longer than you’d have to complete your primary task… simply getting in doesn’t equate with need to go through all this, thought. Elwick’s soul is being kept inside of a large fortress or keep, which is might not be home, so “sneaking” inside isn’t like trying to sneak into a castle on the mortal plane… From a frontal assault perspective, a rather large force would be needed to storm the walls, those seen and unseen, of this keep...

Thoughts and Musing (To Jeyde):
Since the last casting took so much out of me, I will give you my feelings on the other things you asked… In terms of fixing Elwick and Cosette… it would seem to me that it’s relatively obvious that the only way for her soul to be complete once more is to fix Elwick first- to “Free up” the portion of her soul that is with him… I am curious as to what else is within her or if it is just a small portion of what is left of her soul. Have either of them been acting oddly since this started? Or has been weak or anything like that?
I think that is frontal assault would be a pitched affair. An uphill battle the entire way with absolutely no guarantee of success. As is evidenced by the previous fortune tell i cast asking about that, it seems like a full-on assault would be a bad idea - especially if other creature there are like the man-mountain I saw and can shrug off swords blows easily.
In terms of “keeping a back door open” to be able to send back for help. I was unable to cast for this, but it is my feeling that it would be terribly difficult to do. Unless one had access to several individuals who could sense each other across planes, which is a very rare thing indeed. Even the links i have with my sister is not that powerful…

September 1st, 52,025 YD. Somewhere just outside of Folkstone
Fortune Tell: “Who is the woman with dark skin and dark hair that my lord saw in his troubled mind in the last series of tournaments that were held?”
Something overrode the tarot and spoke directly to me, that she was an avatar of the goddess of strife, struggle and chaos… which sounds and awful lot like Eris to me.

Fortune Tell: “What are some ways that the champion of the goddess of luck and fate’s countrymen might bring her influence on their quest to fix him?”
Again, the voice instead of meaning from the cards, “By supporting her champion, you already have her favor.”

Fortune Tell: “Are there other option for the retrieval of the soul of the stewards of steel and combat?”
Once again, the voice that seemed more feminine than male. “There are always other options, child. It’s just a question of time, effort, and the sacrifices you are willing to make.”

Vision: “Why couldn’t Tymora speak with her champion at Quest of Hearts?”
Unfortunately I only received darkness and no vision. I do not know why she could not speak with Elwick…

Vision: “Show me how Antioch intend to aid in getting Elwick’s soul restored.”
I was assaulted by a chaos of light and sounds… I do not think he intends to aid you or us…

September 2nd 52,025 YD, Somewhere just outside of Folkstone

Dream:
I received a Dream in the night concerning time… row upon row of hourglasses, the sand in which seemed to be moving very slowly. I think Elwick has some time… perhaps matter are not quite as immediate as we think?

Split Vision:
“Is it most likely that Cosette’s soul cannot be healed before first healing Elwick’s?”
Yes
“Do Elwick and his compatrion only need to get the item down one of the three paths to complete their quest?”
Yes
“Area ll three paths just difficult in their ways as the other two?”
Each in their own way, yes.
“Is there a likely way for a small group to get to the three paths?”
Yes

“If the quest of the path is completed, would Elwick get the rest of his soul back?”
Yes

Vision: “What did Nero learn from the avatar of Tymora at the Queen of Hearts tournament?”
This one knocked me out. It was difficult to focus afterwards, but with Jeyde’s help, I was able to put together a little of what I Saw.
I don’t think mortal are supposed to be around that many deities or their avatars at once… One of them was complaining about how earnestly hero throw themselves into an gate they came across and how reluctant they are for other to do so… I think she was an avatar of Eris.
Another was saying how she would very gladly aid in any way that she could… was that Tymora…? I can’t remember… I do recall another speaking with Nero across the way… something about not honoring a sacrifice made out of love… Tymora’s? I think she was Tymora’s, scolded Nero as well, something about weakening someone… why is it so hard to remember?
I do not think the matter is lost… one simply must be careful and not try to do too much at once…

Cosette and the Curse

Sometime last year (52024 YD) Cosette was bitten by Higer while we was infected with Vampirism from Dracula. This transferred both vampirism and a sort of feline lycanthropy into Cosette. Recently, Dracula was defeated and those who were under his curse returned to normal- But Cosette still had the feline lycanthropy. Oddly enough (as it feline version) the full moon initiates the transformations.
Casting of Cure Disease will help her for a short time, But Kind Sir Pyr Knows a ritual that should enable her to return to normalcy. This was nearly done last month (September) but for reason I am unaware of, it was not. However, I did address my concern to Cosette that the lycanthrope was probably the only thing keeping her upright at the moment. She seems to agree with me and has called off the attempts to remove the lycanthropic sure until her and Elwicks are healed.
