Odd's Notes - Flower MemoriesCourtesy of Odd of the Briar, Collected along with Rani of Blackwood and Fern EberhardtThese accounts are reinterpreted from written shorthand, which was jotted down when the three of us were retelling the memories we had experienced. There may be some discrepancies as a result. Please contact me with any corrections or different recollections. These accounts are in no particular order. Ophelia Possibly, and Bedlam There is the Taker of Death, the one you feared. You must create new fixed points so you cannot be tricked. You travel deeper into the darkness, cleaving through it with an inner light, bringing the light deeper. You see Malcolm like an Angel of Death, Tom is pressing in. He wants to destroy the interlopers. You must pass through puzzles, and are left in suspense. Your companion tells you this is what she was made for. This is what it all leads up to. You try to close your mind and stop imagining what she means. Seeds and Crown Your feet drag, tired. The werelight makes it easier to see. In front of you is the clear glass coffin which you have been seeking. But something is wrong. There is no one inside. You hear muttering behind you but no one has been here for a long time. Recovering the Dukes and Duchesses is impossible. A man with bulky goggles opens and looks in [opens and looks in what?] and pulls out a handful of seeds and a crown which he hands to a short elf. The elf says “I will plant you, I will take care of you, you are safe with me.” Sunlight is good for plants after all. War Declared on Wayland In a large feasting hall, all assembled are silent in respect for the satyr speaker. He speaks about how for too long his people have suffered under the undying mortal threat. People begin looking uncomfortable and the Fae in the crowd look unnerved. The satyr finishes his speech with a call for war. The King steps forward and addresses the crowd, saying, “you know this is about Wayland, right?” Looking for Mab You are running through the Palace, which changes with each ruler. You recognize this one. You are being chased, stopping means death, that everyone will die. You are looking for Queen Mab to wake her, and you know you must act before it is too late. You are told “The other two, they’re already gone. But perhaps you can save yourself before it is too late.” And then she finds us. It’s not her. |
