Vision of the Dagger WraithAmawar holds her scrying orb and uses her spyglass to peer into it."Sentinels grant me your protection and sight. We seek to redeem the wraiths of the demon prince and to do that we must know about them. Show me the important moments in the life of the one that now serves as the Dagger wraith." She pauses for a response and then records her findings before continuing. You are running with other children through the cobbled streets of town. You wield a short stick, shooting fantasy spells and fireballs from its tip at your fellow revellers as they laugh and dodge behind barrels and carts, flicking their sticks back towards you. "You're a frog now!" one yells to you across the street. "No I'm not!" you call out. "You are! I have a reflection spell! Because I'm the most powerful mage in all of Kos!" Slightly older, you sigh with exasperation over a quill and paper. Rows of letters lie half-practiced. I can do this faster, you think. My way. You attempt to run the letters quickly with a single line instead of lifting the quill so many times. Your efforts result in a mess. You groan with exasperation. You are a young adult, walking home with a basket of bread. You spot her ahead of you, picking out some herbs from a vendor's cart. "Hey Myria," you smile hopefully. "Oh hi Torin!" her smile lights up the entire street as far as you're concerned. "I'm just picking up a few herbs here," she says. "I'm learning which ones can be used for cooking and for healing." She chuckles. "Before long I'll be able to make a stew that fills you up and cures your cough!" "Want to walk back as far as your house together?" you ask. She smiles that smile. "Sure, that would be nice." "Myria!" you shout with excitement, running up to her as she exits the Healers' Guild headquarters. "What!" she shouts back, smiling. "The Mages' Guild will start teaching me things! Finally! I'm going to learn all the secrets they're hiding over there in Monk's Keep!" You sigh with exasperation over quill and paper. You've filled a page halfway and your mind is in tangles. Myria's hand enters your view, wearing a wedding band and pointing to the journal before you. "You really should write everything down," she says gently but firmly. "We'll need to sort it out, to know what worked... people a hundred years from now might need to know what worked..." You groan and run your hands through your hair. "Where was I?" She rubs your back and speaks, "You were planning to Combine Truename with Banish Conjured Being in a Greater Circle of Protection I believe." |
