At the quest that's questing unit was made up of new adventurers we learned the following:

Someone was sending multiple letters to different schools of magic (lycanthropy, alchemy, etc.) spreading rumors that the one of the others said that their school was bad/sub-par/useless.
Letters were signed as:
- 'M'
M stood for Midoru
