A Hymn Against BedlamThe following song was written by Tarun Ul-Sikar, on the occasion of our fight against Bedlam to take place on December 21, 1012.~~~~~ To be delivered to the melody of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, in a thundering bass if possible: Gods rest ye merry gentlefolk, Let nothing you dismay; The heroes of the Realms have come And they will march on Fae, To save us all from Bedlam's power On this, our darkest day With weapons of ice and of light, Weapons of light! With weapons forged of ice and Northern Light! From Yule the generous Father These mighty weapons came, And unto every nation Was given Bedlam's Bane; In battle now our champions Can scream their glorious name: Oh weapons of ice and of light, Weapons of light! Oh weapons forged of ice and Northern Light! The Heroes with these boons in hand Advance with power bright, To leave their homes and families 'til they drive back the night; They will not rest until the foe Has not the strength to fight Against weapons of ice and of light, Weapons of light! Against weapons forged of ice and Northern Light! In Faerie, the contested plane They come to fight a war; An enemy like none to come and none like e'er before; But Bedlam fears what mighty heroes Have in martial store: These weapons of ice and of light, Weapons of light! They bring weapons forged of ice and Northern Light! Now when the fight has settled down To Fae may peace return, We'll celebrate the heores And the victory they earned: But forget not the shining power That set Bedlam to burn: Sing weapons of ice and of light, Weapons of light! Sing of weapons forged of ice and Northern Light! |
